While celebrating my birthday, I took some time to sit quietly in a brown rocking chair on the porch where I was staying. It was a beautiful sunshiny day. I sat thinking about how peaceful the neighborhood was. People would wave and greet me while sitting there. Then I began to imagine. I built thoughts of where I would like to live. I would not allow negative thoughts because that would destroy my pleasant day.
Do you give attention to what you are thinking? How many times does a negative thought come to mind and you continue to think about it? The next move will be you talking about it and giving it place. Your words will become your actions.
When I catch myself thinking negative, I work on replacing that negativity with the Word of God. Renewing my mind according to Romans 12:2, which says, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind. This takes consistency and diligence. Think about what you are thinking, about. You can also practice thinking on those things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of a good report. What a beautiful day we can make it to be.
It is your day to practice filling your thoughts with good things. Someone said, “Practice makes perfect”.
You are amazing.
